Rutgers 2024 Athletics Hall Of Fame

The McCourty twins, Devin and Jason, were inducted into the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024. The induction ceremony took place on September 26 at the East Brunswick Hilton, and the twins were recognized on September 27 during the Rutgers football game against Washington at SHI Stadium. 

The McCourty twins were defensive cornerstones for Rutgers football from 2005–2009, and went on to have long NFL careers. They helped the New England Patriots win Super Bowls, and have also been involved in a variety of philanthropic efforts. 

Other members of the 2024 Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame class included: John “Pomp” Chandler (lightweight football), Hallie Cohen (softball), Maria Grant (women's lacrosse), and Ralph Tedeschi (men's fencing).

Devin and Jason McCourty named finalists for 2020 Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award.

Devin and Jason are nominated alongside Nelson Cruz of the Minnesota Twins, Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx, and Titus O'Neill of the WWE. The winner of the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award will choose a charity to receive $100,000, and ESPN will donate $25,000 to a charity of each finalists' choice.

Devin McCourty Named Patriots Nominee for Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award Presented by Nationwide

Throughout his career, McCourty has been one of the most active NFL players in the community. He is a member of the Players Coalition Task Force and serves as the Chair of the Players Coalition Education and Economic Advancement Committee. McCourty has advocated for several bills that successfully passed legislation in Massachusetts including "An Act Relative to Criminal Justice Reform" and the Student Opportunity Act.
